1. About Us

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases, services, and activities at Arcane Forge, operated by The Forge V.O.F., a partnership registered in the Netherlands.

By making a purchase or using our services — in store or online — you agree to these terms. These terms do not affect your statutory rights under Dutch and EU consumer law.

2. Products & Services

Arcane Forge offers the following products and services:

• Retail sale of tabletop hobby products (miniatures, trading card games, paints, tools, accessories, board games)
• Gaming table hire (governed by the separate Table Booking Terms & Conditions)
• Membership subscriptions (governed by the separate Membership Terms & Conditions)
• Event tickets and tournament entry (governed by the separate Event Booking Terms & Conditions)
• Food and beverage service
• Pre-orders and special orders

In the event of any conflict between these General Terms and a service-specific document, the service-specific terms take precedence for that service.

3. Prices & Payment

3.1 Pricing

• All prices displayed in store and online are inclusive of Dutch BTW (VAT) at the applicable rate.
• Arcane Forge reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already confirmed and paid.
• In the event of a pricing error, Arcane Forge will notify you before processing the order. You may choose to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.

3.2 Payment Methods

• In store: debit card and credit card (Maestro, Visa, Mastercard). Cash is not accepted.
• Online: payment via our website using the available payment methods at checkout (iDEAL, debit/credit card, and others as listed).
• Payment is due in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated (e.g. pre-orders with a deposit).

3.3 Receipts

A digital receipt is issued for all transactions. In-store receipts are available on request. Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase for any returns or warranty claims.

4. Product Availability

• All products are offered subject to availability. Arcane Forge does not guarantee that any item displayed in store or online is in stock at any given time.
• If a product you have purchased is found to be out of stock after payment, we will contact you promptly to offer an alternative, a backorder, or a full refund.
• Arcane Forge is an authorized Games Workshop retailer. Product availability for Games Workshop items is subject to GW supply and distribution terms.

5. Returns & Refunds

5.1 In-Store Purchases

For products purchased in store, we offer a 14-day return window from the date of purchase, in line with Dutch consumer law. The following conditions apply:

• Products must be returned unused, unopened, and in their original packaging.
• Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of the return being accepted.
• We do not accept returns on opened miniature kits, paints, or hobby consumables unless the product is faulty.

5.2 Online Purchases

For products purchased via our online store, you have the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the item, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (herroepingsrecht). To exercise this right:

• Notify us in writing (email or via our website) within 14 days of delivery.
• Return the product unused and in its original packaging within 14 days of notifying us.
• Return shipping costs are at the customer's expense unless the product is faulty or incorrectly sent.
• Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item, to the original payment method.

5.3 Faulty or Damaged Products

If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of purchase. We will offer a replacement, repair, or full refund in accordance with Dutch consumer law (Burgerlijk Wetboek, Book 7). For Games Workshop products with manufacturing defects, we can also direct you to GW's own customer service.

5.4 Exclusions

The following products are excluded from returns unless faulty:

• Opened miniature kits, paints, glues, and hobby consumables
• Special orders and custom items made to your specification
• Digital products and downloadable content
• Event tickets and membership fees (see the relevant T&Cs for those services)

6. Pre-orders & Special Orders

• Pre-orders require a deposit of up to 100% of the product price at the time of ordering.
• Estimated delivery dates for pre-orders are provided in good faith and are subject to supplier lead times. Arcane Forge accepts no liability for delays caused by the supplier or distributor.
• If a pre-ordered product becomes unavailable or is cancelled by the supplier, you will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
• Pre-order deposits are non-refundable if the customer cancels after the order has been placed with the supplier, unless the product is materially different from what was described at the time of ordering.
• Special orders (items not regularly stocked) must be paid in full at the time of ordering and are non-refundable unless faulty.

7. Conduct in Store

Arcane Forge is a welcoming space for players of all backgrounds, experience levels, and ages. We expect all visitors to treat each other, our staff, and the store with respect.

• Arcane Forge reserves the right to refuse entry or service to any person whose behavour is disruptive, aggressive, discriminatory, or in violation of our house rules.
• Persons removed from the premises for conduct reasons are not entitled to a refund for any services or products already paid for in that session.
• A full set of house rules is displayed in store and available on request. By entering the store and using its facilities, you agree to abide by those rules.

8. Limitation of Liability

• Arcane Forge accepts no responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal belongings (including miniatures, hobby materials, or other property) while on the premises, except where such loss or damage is caused by our own negligence.
• To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, Arcane Forge's total liability for any claim arising from a retail purchase is limited to the value of the product purchased.
• Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Privacy & Personal Data

Arcane Forge processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG) and Dutch privacy law. Personal data collected during purchases, membership sign-ups, or event registrations is used solely for order fulfilment, membership administration, and — where you have given consent — marketing communications.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. For our full Privacy Policy, please ask in store or visit our website.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. In the event of a dispute, we will always attempt to reach a fair resolution directly. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be referred to the relevant Dutch consumer body (Geschillencommissie) or handled through the courts of Amsterdam.

11. Amendments

The Forge V.O.F. reserves the right to amend these General Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available in store and on our website. Continued use of our products and services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
