Champions of the Brush

Monthly Painting Competition  ·  Members Only  ·  Winner decided by Instagram vote
Every month, Arcane Forge members compete to paint the best miniature. Share your progress, get advice from the community, and let Instagram decide the winner. Open to all active members — including brand new ones.
Step 01 Start Photograph your model in grey or primer — before any paint
Step 02 Paint Paint during the month. Share WIPs, ask for advice
Step 03 Submit Send your before & after photos before end of month
Step 04 Vote All entries on Instagram — most likes after 7 days wins

Eligibility

  • Active members only — one entry per member per month
  • New members can enter from their very first month — no waiting period
  • Model must be painted during the competition month — previously painted models are not eligible

The Starting Shot — Required

  • Every entry must include a before photo: the model in grey plastic or primer, before any paint is applied
  • Must be taken at the start and submitted alongside your final entry
  • No starting shot = not eligible for the vote

How to Submit

Discord Post in the members' channel with your photos & handle
WhatsApp Send to the Arcane Forge community group
In Store Hand your photos in at the counter before end of month
  • Include: starting shot + final photo (well-lit, clean background) + your name or member handle
  • Deadline: before the end of the calendar month — late entries are not accepted

Work in Progress & The Vote

  • Share WIP photos anytime via Discord or WhatsApp — advice and feedback are welcome
  • At the start of the following month, all valid entries are posted on @arcaneforge.nl on Instagram
  • Everyone can vote — like your favourite entry
  • Voting open for 7 days — most likes wins. Ties decided by Arcane Forge staff

Fair Play

  • The starting shot is proof the model was painted this month — entries without a clear before/after may be disqualified
  • Encouraging friends and family to vote is fine — coordinated boosting or pressure on other members will result in disqualification
  • Staff decisions on disqualification are final
